kyiv. At least seven people were killed and 47 others injured, including a 14-year-old girl, in a series of attacks launched yesterday by Russian forces on the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, which targeted a 12-storey building.
One end of the apartment block was engulfed in black smoke, with many of the upper floors ablaze and cars parked outside also caught fire.
As emergency services and rescue volunteers rushed to get survivors out of the building, the body of one of the victims lay under a rug on the floor surrounded by police officers.
