Faced with the new wave of violence in Haiti, the Mexican embassy in Port-au-Prince called on compatriots in that nation to take due precautions. He recommended that they avoid traveling through areas with barricades and/or crowds of people.
Via social networks, he suggested taking shelter in case of hearing gunshots or confrontations and called for monitoring official information from the airlines, ensuring the stock of water, fuel, non-perishable food and basic necessities, and remaining attentive to the recommendations of the Haitian authorities, as well as the embassy itself.
