Thousands of teachers, healthcare workers, cleaners and other employees stopped work for eight hours across Italy to protest declining purchasing power, persistently low wages and Premier Georgia Meloni’s policies, which they say have weakened public services. The complainants affirm that their demands are not only against the authorities, but against businessmen. The average annual salary in the country is 37 thousand dollars (754 thousand pesos) and is located at the lower end of the European Union. The image, in Milan.
