The DANA entered the dispersion phase and moved to the southeastern area, which allowed the towns most affected by the torrential rains on October 29, most of them in Valencia, to resume their reconstruction work and search. of the missing.
Despite the fact that three rivers in the vicinity of Malaga, the Benamargosa, the Guadalmedina and the Vélez, overflowed, causing very dangerous floods as they passed through the nearby towns, the evacuation of more than 4 thousand people prevented scenes such as those that occurred in Valencia 15 days ago, where the fatalities identified so far now total 216.
The towns most affected by the last DANA were Málaga, Alicantino de Pego, Granada, Cullera and Cádiz, where rainfall was around 140 liters per square meter, much lower than that of last October 29, which exceeded 500 and in some points reached 700.

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) reported that the storm was subsiding and that, therefore, it lowered the warning or red alert that prevailed in several points to an orange alert, which still presents risks, but less than the previous one, specifically in Valencia. , Málaga and Tarragona, while in Huelva, Alicante, Valencia, Albacete, Almería, Granada, Ávila, Salamanca, Extremadura and Murcia, the alert is yellow.
The agency explained that during the day DANA will continue its slow movement towards the southwest while it evolves into an isolated cold storm, another type of low pressure area. In relation to the deaths, the Data Integration Center, established by DANA, reported that more than 100 of the 216 in the province of Valencia were 70 years old or older, 15 were 90 or older, and there are nine minors. Of the deaths recorded, 131 are men and 85 women, 190 were of Spanish nationality and 26 corresponded to 11 other nationalities.
