Sydney. The founder of WikileaksJulian Assange will address the Council of Europe next week, his first public appearance since his release from prison in June, his organisation said yesterday. The Australian will travel to the French city of Strasbourg to witness in an act that will mark the first pronouncement Assange’s official account of his case since before his imprisonment in 2019Assange was released from a British jail last June after spending years fighting extradition to the United States over the 2010 publication of hundreds of thousands of confidential U.S. documents.
