Caracas. The Venezuelan prosecutor’s office yesterday opened a criminal investigation against opposition leaders María Corina Machado and Edmundo González Urrutia for alleged incitement to insurrectionafter they urged the military in an open letter to put themselves on the side of the peopleamid allegations of fraud in the presidential elections.

The National Armed Forces (FAN) expressed its unconditional support and absolute loyalty President Nicolás Maduro and quickly recognized the proclamation of the Bolivarian leader for a third six-year term.

We Venezuelans are not enemies of the FANthe opponents said. We call on the conscience of the military and police to stand on the side of the people and their own families. With this massive violation of human rights, the high command is aligning itself with Maduro and his vile interests.noted the letter from Machado and González Urrutia, who signed the text as President elect.

The prosecution considers this letter to be a open incitement of police and military officials to disobey the law and accuses them, among other crimes, of usurpation of functions and incite insurrection.

In this context, the president of the National Electoral Council of Venezuela (CNE), Elvis Amoroso, submitted to the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) the electoral records requested by said body to investigate the results of the elections of July 28.

I proceed to submit the document and everything you have requested.said Amoroso, who appeared shortly before the three-day deadline given by the TSJ expired.

Protection against the coup

On July 31, Maduro filed an appeal for protection before the highest court, in order for the body to rule on the attack on the electoral process, after considering that seeks to promote a coup d’état in the Caribbean nation.

The opposition insists on having evidence proving that there was fraud on July 28 and demands that the CNE publish the voting records. However, it has not presented these evidence before the Court, and González was the only candidate who missed the hearing called by the TSJ on Friday, as part of the investigation.

The CNE proclaimed Maduro president-elect with 51.95 percent of the votes, compared to 43.18 percent for González Urrutia.

Hours after the first bulletin, after midnight on July 28, anti-Chavez demonstrations broke out and were repressed by law enforcement; the demonstrations, in which acts of vandalism were reported, resulted in at least 20 deaths and more than 2,000 arrests.

Machado announced last Thursday that he had gone into hiding for fear of his life, but on Saturday he reappeared at a demonstration in Caracas with thousands of supporters.

The Venezuelan government yesterday repudiated the statements of the White House spokesman, Matthew Miller, in which he makes it clear that he is at the forefront of the attempted coup d’état, and that he ignores the democratic will of the Venezuelan people who elected President Maduro for the period 2025-2031.according to a statement released by Foreign Minister Yván Gil.

Miller said earlier: We continue to call for transparency and the publication of the detailed vote count, although we acknowledge that it has been more than a week since the election and a publication of those votes would require close scrutiny, given the potential for manipulation in that time frame..

Likewise, Maduro accused the Chilean government of endorsing the training of pinochetists to bring about terrorist actions and of coup in Venezuelan territory.

The president of Venezuela said that in Chile there is Pinochet training centers to, with the government’s approval, train Venezuelans in terrorist actions.

Meanwhile, yesterday, in the rain, a march of Youth and Students for Peace reached the presidential palace in Miraflores, in support of the president.

We will win this battle. Long live the Venezuelan youth!Maduro shouted to his followers

WhatsApp, fuck it

He warned that he will break up relationships with WhatsApp, because that messaging application, owned by the American Meta, parent company of Facebook, is used by fascist groups to threaten “anyone who does not speak out in favor of fascism.

And we say: WhatsApp, go to hell. Stop threatening Venezuelans. Because it is used by criminals who have Colombian, Chilean, and American chips.the leader remarked to the applause of the young people.
