The FestivalCorpo.LX2024 will bring dance, workshops, lectures and crafts to the gardens of the Igreja da Memória, on the 20th and 21st of July. The initiative, which is now in its 16th edition, has a diverse programme for the whole family. The aim of the event, organised by Ai!aDança in collaboration with the Junta de Freguesia da Ajuda, is to promote art in a way that is accessible to everyone.

On the first day, several activities are scheduled from 10 am to 7 pm, including dance shows by schools and artistic companies, with performances of various styles such as contemporary, classical, hip hop and ballet. There will also be special choreographies performed by older participants.

The mornings are dedicated to workshops and lectures that require advance registration via email at reserva@nullaiadanca.com. Various handcrafted works will be on display, accompanied by a terrace area with street food, ideal for relaxing.

The exhibition “The Body”, with works by painters, sculptors and visual artists, will be available for both days, with free entry.

This year, the festival will take place in the surroundings of the Igreja da Memória, considered a national monument since 1923, with the main objective of promoting the arts in general and dance in particular. The “Centro Nacional de Cultura” aims to bring together as many people as possible linked to this sport, both in Portugal and abroad.

The previous edition of FestivalCorpo.24 | International Dance Meeting, took place in Sintra, in April 2024, with an in-person and virtual audience. With a live broadcast, it received 120 thousand views in 19 countries.
