Workers collect dead freshwater fish from a river near the central Greek city of Volos, 326 kilometers north of Athens. The death of at least 100 tons of fish was the result of the contamination of several rivers with seawater due to recent flooding. Authorities announced a support program for affected businesses, which includes subsidies and suspension of tax and insurance payments, as well as tourism promotion campaigns, European media reported.
