French premier passes motion in congress

▲ The new government of France, led by the conservative Prime Minister, Michel Barnier (on the podium), yesterday overcame its first motion of censure promoted by the left, thanks to the refusal of the extreme right to support it. The motion, presented by the New Popular Front coalition, received 197 votes in favor in the National Assembly (Lower House), far from the absolute majority of 289 necessary to overthrow the new government promoted by President Emmanuel Macron.Photo Afp
