Berlin. The German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, called yesterday for the unity of European countries within the framework of the 35th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, a historic event that he called victory pan-europeanwhich marked a turning point in the development of the continent.

The message of the 1989 revolution is more relevant than ever: courage, trust and solidarity bear fruit. We achieve nothing against each other, we are only strong togetherScholz said in a message on his social networks.

He added: Our shared history shows how we achieve our goals: by standing together, for peace and freedom, for security and prosperity, for the rule of law and democracy.

Scholz recalled how Germany’s neighbors contributed to this historic event in the same message, according to the German television network Deutsche Welle. Was a lucky day for which we Germans are still gratefulhe assured.

The event is commemorated in a context of growing political instability in the country, which could hold early general elections in March after the political crisis due to the collapse of the government coalition.

The fracture of the coalition made up of the Social Democratic Party, of Scholz, the Greens and the liberal FDP (Free Democratic Party, for its acronym in German) is produced by legislative disagreements in the face of a gap of almost 1.1 billion dollars in the budgets for 2025 and the economic crisis in the country.
