Buenos Aires., The governor of the province of Buenos Aires, Axell Kicillof, announced yesterday the creation of a Special Provincial Unit destined to reinforce the search carried out by the Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo for the children of those who disappeared during the last military dictatorship, which he considered spoils of warone day after the president, Javier Milei, and the vice president, Victoria Villarroel, announced that the National Commission for the Right to Identity (Conadi) was being dismantled, the institution that has been supported in all countries of the world in this cause.

The Specialized Unit 1 depended on Conadi, and its disappearance leaves the Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo without the possibility of continuing their tireless search, which has led to the rescue of 130 children of missing persons, who recovered their identity and their families,

This is Milei’s destructive advance against all the organizations created, in the case of civil guarantees, such as the right to know the truth after a dictatorship that left 30 thousand missing, murdered and thousands exiled.

It was the work of the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo, who began with a solitary patrol in the 1970s in front of the government house (Rosada) where the members of the first junta formed after the civil-military coup of March 24, 1976 were, which opened the way to memory, truth and justice.

This led to the formation of Commissions of Survivors, Relatives, Siblings and Children of the Disappeared, which made possible the reconstruction of those years of terror and death, to which must be added the work of lawyers, investigators and journalists.

Kicillof said that provincial resources will be made available, considering that it is a shield in the face of national policies”, such as the one that dismantled Conadi, but could not close it because a law is needed.

Meanwhile, the problem of the six pro-government deputies who visited the detainees tried for crimes against humanity during the last dictatorship that have no statute of limitations, imprisoned not only in the Ezeiza prison, but also, it is known, now in the Campo de Mayo barracks, in compliance with the official plan to free them, continues.

Kicillof recalled that one of the reasons why he decided to create the Specialized Unit is that 50 percent Of the approximately 300 grandchildren, they have not been found and are from the province of Buenos Aires, also considering that dismantling Conadi It is a federal crime and it is illegal for the government not to continue with the State protection policies.

On the other hand, employees of the National Commission for Space Activities of the Association of State Workers (ATE) denounced and repudiated a collaboration agreement with the United States Armed Forces, warning that the foreign interference had the intelligence objective of learning about the advances in space development in Argentina.

They denounce surrender to the US

Members of the United States Space Force (one of the six branches into which the United States armed forces are divided) visited the country to explore areas of mutual collaborationwhich the workers consider a surrender of that organization to the US government, expressing their unwavering commitment to work on the use of our capabilities for peaceful purposes and oriented towards sustainable development.

They also reject any approach that involves collaborating in any type of activity with the armed forces of a foreign country, “a situation that is accentuated in the case of the United States, given its history of promoting coups d’état and military invasions around the world.

Added to this is another recent complaint about the visit of US military personnel, who could take over the munitions factory, located in the province of Córdoba, to produce according to the needs of Ukraine.

On another topic, the Court of Cassation, the highest criminal court, at the request of survivors of the past dictatorship and human rights organizations, sent a public message against the current government’s attempt to destroy policies of truth and justice, in which it recommends that the courts that intervene in trials for crimes against humanity preserve documentation and sites of memory, which are the spaces where the aberrant crimes were perpetrated.
