New York., The Secretary General of the United Nations (UN), Antonio Guterres, assured yesterday that fully supports the proposal for a 21-day temporary ceasefire presented by the United States and France in relation to the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah.

The US president, Joe Biden, ordered that adjustment as necessary the US military presence in the Middle East, with the purpose of improving deterrence and guaranteeing the protection of forcesthe White House announced yesterday. In turn, the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, stated that Washington will take all measurements necessary if its interests are attacked in the Middle East, and noted that the Israeli objective in Lebanon is legitimate.

Russia asked to stop immediately the spiral of violence in the region, declared yesterday the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Sergei Lavrov, at a meeting of the UN Security Council on the situation in the Middle East.

Meanwhile, the Foreign Minister of Iran, Abbas Araqchi, yesterday denounced the outrageous threats of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who warned at the United Nations headquarters that his country could attack Iran.
