Deir Al Bakah., Israeli airstrikes in central Gaza yesterday killed 14 Palestinians, including children, health officials reported, while the bombing of a hospital in northern Gaza left half a dozen wounded.

The Israeli army continued its offensive against Hamas in northern Gaza, whose residents have been isolated from the rest of the territory amid a growing humanitarian crisis.

An airstrike flattened a residential building in the Bureij refugee camp yesterday, reported the Al Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the city of Deir Balah, where the victims were taken. At least nine people were killed, including six children and a woman.

Another Israeli attack hit a tent in the Nuseirat refugee camp, leaving five dead.

In northern Gaza, the Ministry of Health reported a bombing at the Indonesian Hospital, which left six patients injured.

We demand international protection for hospitalsThe ministry added in a statement in which it requested more supplies, fuel and the safe evacuation of the wounded.

The Israeli army commented last night that it was not aware of any attack on the Indonesian Hospital in the last hours.

He added that he closed the Kerem Shalom crossing because fighters fired mortars several meters from the humanitarian corridor. He said Gaza’s main cargo crossing was reopened after the attackers were eliminated.

Kerem Shalom is the only crossing between Israel and Gaza designed for cargo shipments and has been the main artery for aid since the Rafah crossing with Egypt was closed in May. Last month, almost two-thirds of the aid entering Gaza passed through Kerem Shalom.

Second winter at war

In this war, a second cold and rainy winter is beginning in Gaza, with hundreds of thousands of Palestinians in tents, impoverished and dependent on international aid.

On the front line in Lebanon, two people were killed and another was wounded in an Israeli attack in the city of Dibbin, according to the Ministry of Health.

In the midst of the truce, Israel bombed the Al Arid slum in Dibbin yesterday, as the escalation against Lebanon continued, the National News Agency reported.
