Beirut. Israel advanced yesterday on three fronts, with a ground incursion into Lebanon against Hezbollah, as well as new bombings on Beirut and Gaza, which killed dozens of people, including children, while attacking a residential area in Damascus, capital of Syria.

As Israel reiterated its promises to retaliate for Iran’s ballistic missile attack, the region prepared for a new escalation of the conflict.

Iranian President Masud Pezeshkian said Israel will face a harsh reaction if it does not end his crimesand said that the salvo of missiles launched the day before “demonstrates again that the anti-missile system Iron Dome It is more fragile than glass”, while indicating in Doha that his country does not seek war, but will respond if Tel Aviv acts against the Islamic republic.

On the other hand, an Israeli airstrike hit a residential building in Damascus last night, killing three people, the Sana agency reported.

In the early hours of today, a pair of drones sounded sirens in the Israeli town of Bat Yam, one of which was intercepted, while the other hit an open area, the military command reported. There were no injuries, published the Times of Israel.
