Moscow. Israel continues to strike Lebanon. At least 38 people were killed and 54 injured after Israeli attacks that targeted the Lebanese province of Baalbek-Hermel, the governor of this province, Bashir Khodr, reported yesterday.

There were about 40 attacks by Israeli aviation while the clearing work continues in many placesKhodr wrote on the social network X.

Meanwhile, Tel Aviv confirmed the death of Hussein Abdelhalim Harb, Hezbollah commander in the Khiam area, who promoted and carried out many rocket attacks against northern Israel, particularly in the Metula areain a new bombing against southern Lebanon.

Hezbollah launched a barrage of missiles that activated sirens in several parts of Israel; most were shot down, but one hit near the airport, according to the Israel Defense Forces.

Following the sirens that recently sounded in northern and central Israel, approximately 10 projectiles were identified crossing into Israel from Lebanon. Some of the projectiles were interceptedsaid a military spokesman. At the moment it is unknown if there are any injuries.

One of the missiles or the remains of an interceptor missile hit the Ben Gurion airport area, causing damage to the asphalt.

The forces of the 36th division continue their activities in northern Lebanonsaid the Israeli army and added that during the last 24 hours they carried out several bombings in which eliminated to an indeterminate number of terrorists that they launched rockets against northern Israel.

In this context, the Israeli army unleashed a new invasion of Lebanon on October 1 after several weeks of intense bombings and attacks against the country, including the coordinated explosion of thousands of communication devices, which has raised fears of a further expansion of the conflict in the Middle East.
