Two states

Meanwhile, on his first official visit to Spain, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas yesterday requested, in front of Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, to hold a second peace summit in Madrid between Israel and Palestine, during the public appearance of both leaders at the La Moncloa Palace.

During the private meeting, Sanchez said: It would be an honor to host of the talks and added that he will do everything possible to ensure that it can take place in the Spanish capital, indicated sources from La Moncloa present at the meeting.

Sanchez reiterated his support for the two-state solution to reach a peace agreement in the Middle East, and affirmed that Spain recognized Palestine Because it is fair, because it exists and has every right to have its own State, which lives in a neighborhood with the State of Israel in peace and security..

Finally, a United Nations committee accused Israel of serious violations of a global treaty protecting children’s rights, saying its military deployment in Gaza had a disastrous impact on them, putting Gazan children in one of the worst catastrophes of recent history.

The Committee on the Rights of the Child, made up of 18 independent experts, condemned the Israeli attacks against civilian targets in the Gaza Strip, which have left more than 16,700 children dead and at least 6,100 injured.

At least one million children have been displaced, 21,000 are missing, 20,000 have lost one or both parents, and nearly 17,000 are alone or separated from their families.

The report denounces the use of explosive weapons with far-reaching effects in densely populated areas and the denial of humanitarian access, which has led to dozens of child deaths due to malnutrition and 3,500 children at risk of death due to lack of food.
