New York. A child dies every day in Lebanon since the Israeli invasion on October 1, denounced the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), and warned that the conflict causes deep emotional scars.
Since October 4 of this year, at least one child has died and 10 have been injured every 24 hourssaid the executive director of Unicef, Catherine Russell, who stressed that Thousands of children who have survived the many months of constant bombing are now deeply distressed by the violence and chaos around them..
He stated that The current war in Lebanon is disrupting the lives of minors and, in many cases, inflicting serious physical wounds and deep emotional scars.while indicating that the devastating number of victims grows every daywith at least 166 children dead and nearly 1,170 injured since October 2023, according to data from the Lebanese government.
By continuing its wars, Tel Aviv killed at least 30 Palestinians in 24 hours in the Gaza Strip, mainly in the north, where a bombing hit a hospital, health officials in the enclave reported. Israel also killed at least 16 people in Lebanon and Syria, Al Jazeera reported.
Iran warned of a relentless attack to Israel in response to the bombings against targets in its territory last Saturday, at a time when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that his army is in a position to attack any part of Iran as needed.
