Kazan. The Israeli government has proposed empty of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, said yesterday the president of the Palestinian National Authority (PNA), Mahmoud Abbas, invited to the plenary meeting of the 16th BRICS+ Summit. He compared the current situation to the tragedy of the expulsion of the Palestinians when the State of Israel was formed in 1948.

“The Palestinians have been suffering for more than a year from the greatest catastrophe since the Nakba – catastrophe, in Arabic, as the expulsion is known – of 1948,” said Abbas, in the plenary session of the BRICS+ summit, chaired by the president Russian, Vladimir Putin. He accused Israel of committing crimes of genocide and ethnic cleansing, particularly in the north of the strip, in order to empty it of its population.

Abbas called on the international community to stop Israel’s military offensive, attacks against the civilian population and open channels for the distribution of aid to the population.

Achieving justice for the Palestinian people is the most important test the world has nowheld.

In the same forum, the president of Iran, Masud Pezeshkian, asserted that the United Nations (UN) has been ineffective in ending the crisis in the Middle East. International institutions, and in particular the UN, have not been effective in extinguishing the fire.he added, in the final session of the BRICS+ summit, which was also attended by the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres.
