Israeli attack kills 3 firefighters in Lebanese city

AFP. Lebanese authorities reported that three firefighters were killed yesterday and two others were injured after an Israeli attack on a team extinguishing a fire also started in Tel Aviv.

Three workers, Qassem Bazzi, Mohamed Hashem and Abbas hamud, were killed as a result of an Israeli attack on a firefighting vehicle that had completed a firefighting mission at 18:15 in the town of Frun, in the Nabatié district.the Lebanese General Directorate of Civil Defense reported yesterday evening, the Lebanese agency NNA reported.

Israel claimed to have bombed more than 15 rocket launchers belonging to Hezbollah in a series of operations in recent hours against southern Lebanon.

Artillery duels between Israel and Hezbollah have become a daily occurrence since the start of the war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza on October 7, and have caused the deaths of 614 people in Lebanon, mostly combatants but also at least 138 civilians, according to an AFP count.

On the Israeli side, including victims in the annexed Golan Heights, authorities recorded the deaths of at least 24 soldiers and 26 civilians.
