Israeli strikes on Gaza kill 17 civilians in shelter, Hamas says

Gaza. At least 17 people were killed and dozens more injured yesterday after a series of Israeli attacks on a school serving as a shelter for displaced people in Gaza City. The building was destroyed in a second phase of bombing, which caused the deaths of more people, including women and children.

We have received several deaths and injuries, including children, as a result of the Israeli bombing of the Hamama School.an official at the Baptist Hospital in Gaza City told the Palestinian newspaper Filastin.

For its part, the Israeli army indicated that the attack was against terrorists operating from a Hamas command and control center.

The Islamist group denounced the criminal attack of the fascist occupation Israeli authorities on the educational establishment, which he described as a new episode of the brutal war of extermination against the Palestinian population of Gaza.
