Paris. French President Emmanuel Macron could name a new prime minister today, a government source told the AFP agency yesterday, a week after Michel Barnier was dismissed by a vote of no confidence. Macron will travel to Poland and the appointment will take place rather upon his returnthe source reported. On Tuesday, in a meeting at the Elysee Palace with the leaders of several parties, Macron pledged to name a new head of government. in 48 hoursafter left-wing and far-right legislators overthrew Barnier last week.
