The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, yesterday ratified his commitment to the future of the well-being of the people in a free and independent homeland when speaking before a crowd that gathered in front of the Miraflores Palace, at the end of the Great March and Caravan in Defense of Peace and Christmas called by the PSUV. On the opposition side, protests were held in Caracas and cities in Spain, Japan, the United Kingdom, Argentina and Colombia, to demand the release of those detained in demonstrations after the presidential elections on July 28, when Maduro won re-election.
