In its first international call, the government of President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo urged a imperative ceasefire in the Middle East.
After Iran’s offensive against Israel, and Tel Aviv’s warning of revenge, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) urged the parties to negotiate and achieve peace in that region.
Likewise, he asked Mexicans in Iran and Israel to consider the possibility of moving to safer places, through available trade routes.
The secretariat, headed by Foreign Minister Juan Ramón de la Fuente, insisted on the need to negotiate a lasting peace that allows stability in that area of the world.
The SRE reported that the embassies in both countries have been in communication with the Mexican community, sharing the security recommendations issued by local authorities.
He asked that Mexicans who have not contacted diplomatic representations do so as soon as possible, given the circumstances of insecurity and risk in which they find themselvesfor which he spread the contacts in the networks of both embassies: @EmbaMexIsr and @EmbaMexIrn
