Damascus. Strong explosions shook Damascus on Tuesday, AFP journalists reported, shortly after a non-governmental organization reported hundreds of Israeli bombings on Syria since the fall of President Bashar al Assad on Sunday.
The Israeli army has destroyed the main military sites in Syriaby launching some 250 bombings against this Middle Eastern country, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (OSDH) reported today, at the close of this edition.
Qatari television Al Jazeera also reported that more explosions were heard in Damascus, at a time when Tel Aviv continued its bombing of the capital, in what Israeli media described as one of the largest air raids in the history of the Israeli air force.
There were no reports of damage caused by the attack on Damascus today. Benjamin Netanyahu’s military did not immediately comment on these reports. On Monday he had confirmed the destruction in the last days of chemical weapons in Syria to prevent them from falling into the hands of the rebels.
The OSDH has a wide network of sources in Syria and indicated that Israel bombed airports, radars, weapons and ammunition depots, military research centers and damaged navy ships, while attacking an air defense unit near the port of Latakia, in the northwest of the country.
In addition, Washington attacked positions of the Islamic State in central Syria, while Türkiye launched itself against the Kurdish forces backed by Washington, the British newspaper indicated. Guardian.
