Berlin. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz yesterday urged the democratic parties to negotiate governments stable in the regions of Thuringia and Saxony, without taking into account the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) at any time, after a double election with results bitter.

We cannot and should not get used to it.he posted in a message on his Instagram account, in which he stressed that AfD harms to Germany, in addition to weakening the economysplit to society and ruins the reputation of our country.

Scholz yesterday described bitter the election results in Thuringia and Saxony, but said he was relieved that the Social Democratic Party (SPD) had managed to enter both regional parliaments.

The SPD has remained united, we ran a good and clear election campaignhe mentioned.

The AfD became the leading political force in Thuringia and fell behind the conservatives in Saxony, two regions of the former German Democratic Republic.

In Thuringia, the party, led in the region by Björn Höcke, one of the most radical figures in the party, obtained 32.8 percent of the votes, although it is unlikely to succeed in forming a government, according to analysts.

There is no politics without AfDsaid Tino Chrupalla, co-president of this anti-immigration party, known for his pro-Russia positions.

It is a huge slap in the face for the entire government and especially for Scholz.Marianne Kneuer, professor of political science at the Technical University of Dresden, told AFP.

This result reflects the discontent of part of the public with the current government due to inflation or measures to implement the ecological transition, in addition to the ongoing disputes within the tripartite government, experts stressed.
