Madrid. Begoña Gómez, wife of the president of the Spanish government, Pedro Sánchez, is investigated for the crimes of misappropriation and professional intrusion, thus expanding her criminal case to the one she has open for corruption and influence peddling.

The judge investigating the case, Juan Carlos Peinado, of the Superior Court of Justice of Madrid, admitted the request made by the far-right association Hazte Oír and summoned it to testify on November 18.

According to the resolution, there are indications that Gómez, in her role as “co-director of the Chair of Competitive Social Transformation at the Complutense University of Madrid, would have registered the TSC Competitive Social Transformation trademark and a software developed in that chair in the name of his own company, Transforma TSC SL”, in a conduct that could be linked to the crime of misappropriation.
