kyiv. Russian missile attacks in kyiv and central Ukraine yesterday left seven dead, while the Russian army took control of the town of Alexandropol in the Donietsk republic.
In the Ukrainian city of Dnipro, five people died, including a child, with 19 injured and several buildings damaged, reported Sergiy Lysak, governor of the central region of Dnipropetrovsk.
Images shared by the governor showed rescuers working on a pile of rubble, while another showed what appeared to be a hospital room with shattered windows.
Other overnight attacks on the capital kyiv and its surrounding areas left two people dead, including a teenage girl who was killed in a drone attack, according to regional authorities.
On the other hand, the Russian army took control of the town of Alexandropol in the Donietsk People’s Republic, the Ministry of Defense reported.
Units of the South group of troops, as a result of successful offensive actions, liberated the settlement of Alexandropol in the Donietsk People’s Republicthe statement said.
