Bolivia began August, the month of its national holidays, in the midst of a climate of growing tension and conflict with blockades on main and border highways, as well as street closures in the cities of the country’s nine departments by transport organizations demanding the supply of diesel. The pressure measure, which began on Wednesday, was joined yesterday by urban transport, which is a response to the shortage of diesel, the lack of dollars and the accumulation of complaints about the long lines at the pumps that have formed since last week.
