San Salvador., The president of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, said yesterday that soon will be able to reduce the emergency regime that his government has implemented for more than two and a half years in its national fight against gangs. On March 27, 2022, Bukele began a war against crime protected by an exceptional regime that allows arrests without a court order and under which 83 thousand alleged gang members have been detained. According to the NGOs Socorro Jurídico Humanitario, Cristosal and Movir, there are about 30 thousand innocent people in prison.
