Caracas. China, Russia, Iran, Bolivia, Cuba, Nicaragua and Honduras yesterday recognized the electoral victory of Nicolás Maduro, in contrast to the flood of nations that, without proof of fraud, demanded a recount of the votes.
For now, Venezuela decided to withdraw all its diplomatic personnel from the missions in Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica, Peru, Panama, the Dominican Republic and Uruguay, hours after these countries demanded the complete review of the results of the elections with the presence of independent observers.
The United States, Brazil, Colombia, Spain, Germany, France, Italy, the United Kingdom, as well as the European Union and the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, joined this demand. The latter also congratulated the Venezuelan people. for their determination to peacefully express their will through the ballot box.
Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Maduro by telephone, as did his Cuban counterpart, Miguel Díaz-Canel, who described the re-election of the Bolivarian leader as historic triumph.
The Bolivian ruler, Luis Arce, joined in the congratulations and on his X account reaffirmed the integration of both countries; on that same social network, the Honduran president, Xiomara Castro, described brave to the Venezuelan people for His unquestionable victory, which reaffirms his sovereignty and the historical legacy of the eternal commander of the Bolivarian revolution, Hugo Chávez.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry congratulated the people of Venezuela and Maduro for their successful re-election.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken expressed his serious concern for the result and asked for a recount fair and transparent of votes.

In addition to the vote count, Paraguay, Argentina, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Panama, Peru, the Dominican Republic and Uruguay announced that they will request the intervention of the Organization of American States, after the Venezuelan National Electoral Council (CNE) declared Nicolás Maduro the winner of the presidential election, amid allegations of fraud.
