New York. New York Mayor Eric Adams, who is under suspicion for financing his 2021 campaign, has been charged in an investigation by a federal prosecutor’s office that threatens his aspirations to revalidate his office at the polls, the report revealed yesterday. New York TimesThe paper did not specify the charges, but Adams, 64, is the subject of at least four federal investigations, three of them led by the Manhattan district court, which is investigating people close to him and senior officials in his administration. The indictment comes during an already difficult week for the mayor, whose team has been shaken by the resignations of Health Commissioner Ashwin Vasan and Education Commissioner David Banks. Adams, who is seeking re-election in 2025, has maintained a facade of normality throughout the investigations against him.
