Tel Aviv., Thousands of Israelis protested yesterday in front of the official headquarters of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office, after a four-day march from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, to demand that he stop sabotage negotiations and sign an agreement for the return of the hostages.
Netanyahu presents new demands that could cost the life of Matan (Zangauker). Presents new clauses (of the agreement) that could also cost the lives of other hostagessaid Einav Zangauker, mother of Matan, a 24-year-old hostage in Gaza, at the march.
He also said there were more signs that the Israeli prime minister was trying to thwart a possible ceasefire agreement and an exchange of Palestinian hostages for prisoners. We demand that any attempt to undermine the agreement be stopped, that all personal and political considerations be set aside and that the hostages be returned home.he added.
Meanwhile, in Tel Aviv, the epicenter of the protests, a 10-meter-long banner was displayed with the legend Netanyahu is finishing off the hostagesthis, on Kaplan Street. There were also protests in Haifa, Beersheba and Herzliya, as well as roadblocks.
This weekend, protesters again called for the resignation of the prime minister, the calling of early elections and an agreement on the release of the hostages.
An estimated 116 Israeli hostages remain in Gaza, not all of them alive, while 105 people were freed in exchange for hundreds of Palestinian prisoners in the only truce in the war, which began after Hamas attacked Israeli border communities on October 7, the Sputnik news agency reported.
The Israeli army confirmed the death of 42 of the hostages held by Hamas.
