Venezuelan Supreme Court begins expert appraisal of electoral process

Caracas. The Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) of Venezuela begins a new phase of expertise with evidence collected during an appeal for protection requested by Nicolás Maduro to certify his victory in the elections of July 28. Yesterday he also announced that he will issue a decision that cannot be appealed.

The court, accused by the opposition of favoring the government with its sentences, called all the candidates (10) to appear after accepting Maduro’s appeal, amid allegations of fraud, in order for the court to certify the process.

Caryslia Beatriz Rodríguez, president of the electoral chamber of the highest judicial body, yesterday declared former opposition presidential candidate Edmundo González in contempt for failing to attend the meeting at that instance to present documentation related to the elections.

Members of the Unitary Platform alliance (a coalition of opposition parties) did not submit any electoral material, arguing that they do not have documentation of the process.the president of the TSJ told journalists and members of the diplomatic corps. They stated that they do not have the minutes and that they did not participate in the process of transferring and safeguarding the material.he added.

Spaniards support legitimacy of the process

Meanwhile, Spanish observers accredited to the electoral authorities highlighted in a document the legitimacy of the process and the result published by the National Electoral Council that declared Nicolás Maduro the winner.

In addition, in that text they denounced the campaign of interference and undue external pressure on the Venezuelan voting process, the violent events and the demonstrations of hate unleashed on social networkswith which they refer to the Attacks against supporters of the Bolivarian Government and assaults on the headquarters of public bodies and popular organizations.

In the document, signed by the general secretary of the Communist Party of Spain, Enrique Santiago, and the founder of Podemos, Juan Carlos Monedero, the call for the military coup of the opposition and the self-proclamation as president-elect of the signatory of said statement, former candidate Edmundo González Urrutia.

The report concludes by calling on all governments in the world to respect the democratic institutionality of the State of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and its sovereignty.

Also, the alternate permanent representative of Venezuela to the UN, Joaquín Pérez, denounced before that organization that in his country there is a cyber coup in progress and? More than 30 million cyber attacks per minute have been launched against all government portals since election day.

He assured that the massive cyber attack is part of a clear destabilization operation to generate a blackout informational and consolidate a cyber coup against constitutional authorities and institutions.
