The United States must end its obsession with perpetuating its supremacy and wanting to contain China, as well as stop using regional countries as tools, said Lin Jian, spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry yesterday. The diplomacy thus responded to claims by US President Joe Biden that China continues to act aggressively and test the United States and its allies in the Indo-Pacific region, claims made at the Quad summit (the United States, Japan, Australia and India) held over the weekend in the United States. Although Washington maintains that it does not target Beijing, the Asian nation was a topic throughout the meeting, Lin said.
