Deir Al-Balah, Israel, on Sunday launched a deadly attack on a school building in northern Gaza, killing at least 22 people, the health ministry said. Qatari television channel Al Jazeera announced on Sunday that the Israeli army had raided its offices in Ramallah in the occupied West Bank and imposed a 45-day closure.

Israel stressed on its website that the war operation was carried out against a command and control complex from Hamas embedded in a complex that was a school. He said his army had taken measures to limit damage to civilians, including the use of precision munitions and aerial surveillance, and reported that yesterday’s bombing had killed Muhammad Mansur, a senior Hamas intelligence officer.

At least 30 people were wounded in the attack on the shelter-school in the Zeitoun area of Gaza City, Gaza authorities reported, with the majority of the victims being women and children.

In a video recorded by AP, dozens of people, including minors, are seen digging through the rubble of the building, whose roof had collapsed, its walls had fallen, and where a pile of cables and rods from the structures and columns could be seen. Outside, other people were gathered around several shrouded bodies. Some covered their faces, crying for their relatives who lost their lives in the attack.

A missile, a missile from the plane hit us, and then another onesaid Ferial Deloul, one of the displaced people staying at the school.

“We saw the whole world covered in smoke and stones, and we saw people and children injured… What should we do? What is our fault that this has happened to us?”

The Gaza Health Ministry also reported that five of its workers were killed and five others wounded in another Israeli attack that hit warehouses of the government department in the Musbah area, in the south of the enclave.

The number of human losses rises to 41,391

The death toll has risen to 41,391 dead and 95,760 wounded since the start of the war on October 7 last year.

Since the war between Israel and Hamas broke out, the Israeli army has attacked several schools, where tens of thousands of Palestinians – who had to flee their homes due to Israeli offensives and evacuation orders – found refuge.

The conflict has displaced 90 percent of Gaza’s Palestinians, according to the United Nations. The Israeli military has repeatedly accused Hamas of operating from the strip’s civilian infrastructure, including schools and hospitals, including those of the United Nations. Competing narratives over the use of schools and hospitals are at the heart of the conflict, which has lasted nearly a year.

On the closure of Al Jazeera, an Israeli soldier told journalist Walid al Omari on Sunday: Al Jazeera is closed for 45 days by court decisionthe channel reported.

Meanwhile, in Israel, hundreds of thousands of protesters took to the streets of major cities again yesterday to put pressure on the government and demand that an agreement be reached for the release of the hostages still held in Gaza.

The people of Israel vote in favor of the return of the hostages. We want the hostages alive for rehabilitation and the deceased for proper burial in their homeland.commented one of the representatives of the demonstration in Tel Aviv, reported The Times of Israel.

There were also large gatherings of thousands of people in Caesarea, Jerusalem, Netanya and other Israeli towns.
