Country singer Megan Moroney had to end her Ball Arena show early on Tuesday night. She walked off stage after performing three songs.
She apologized to the crowd, teary-eyed, and explained that she was too sick to keep the show going. “I thought I did everything to make myself better, but two songs in, I knew I couldn’t play tonight,” Moroney said in a fan video posted online, adding that she wanted to give the audience the show they deserved.
The 28-year-old managed to perform “Stupid,” “Medicine,” and “Bless Your Heart” before calling it quits. Later that night on Instagram, she admitted the call was “the hardest” decision she’s ever had to make, but stressed that she refuses to give fans anything less than her best performance.
If you were at the Denver concert, don’t worry—it’s been rescheduled for Aug. 27. Original tickets will still be honored, and full refunds are available if you can’t make the new date.
