STACK Helps Save Flood-Ravaged New Mexico Communities With $50,000 Donation

STACK Infrastructure is giving $50,000 to the Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico to aid recovery in Doña Ana County after severe flooding. The donation follows the company’s emergency work to protect critical water and wastewater systems.

STACK Infrastructure, a leading global developer and operator of data centers, has donated $50,000 to the Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico (CFSNM) to support flood relief and recovery efforts in Doña Ana County and surrounding communities.

STACK Infrastructure has donated $50,000 to the Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico to support flood relief and recovery in Doña Ana County. The contribution follows the company’s earlier emergency response efforts to protect water and wastewater infrastructure damaged by severe flooding in the region.

Working with the Camino Real Regional Utility Authority, STACK provided bypass pumps, restored access to well sites, and protected exposed water supply lines, helping prevent service disruptions. The Community Foundation will manage the donation to address both immediate needs and longer-term recovery, with STACK continuing to coordinate with local leaders on further assistance.

The contribution builds on STACK’s recent emergency response work to help protect critical water and wastewater infrastructure after severe flooding struck the region.

“Southern New Mexico is my home, and I’ve seen firsthand how this community comes together during difficult times,” said Tessa Abeyta, Director of Community Engagement, STACK Americas. “As families across Doña Ana County begin to recover, our priority is to listen, understand what is needed, and offer meaningful support. At STACK, being a good neighbor means putting people first and supporting the first responders, local leaders, and community organizations driving recovery efforts.”

In coordination with the Camino Real Regional Utility Authority (CRRUA), STACK deployed equipment and personnel to help address urgent infrastructure damage. The company provided bypass pumps for emergency wastewater operations, restored access to critical well sites, and protected exposed water supply lines. These actions helped maintain essential utility services and limit further disruption for residents and businesses.

“The bypass pumps STACK loaned to CRRUA helped prevent wastewater spills and allowed crews to complete emergency wastewater connections after flooding damaged aging manhole infrastructure,” said Juan Crosby, Executive Director of the Camino Real Regional Utility Authority. “STACK teams also restored eroded access roads to well sites and backfilled exposed water supply lines on the Mesa, reducing the risk of damage and widespread water outages. STACK’s swift action helped protect public health, the environment, and essential services for our residents and businesses. CRRUA is deeply grateful for STACK’s partnership and commitment to supporting the community.”

CFSNM will administer the $50,000 donation to address immediate community needs and support longer-term recovery. STACK continues to collaborate with local leaders and partners to identify additional ways to assist the region as rebuilding advances.

My work has taken me across the state, where I’ve led hands-on FAFSA workshops, connected with diverse communities, and guided students toward their educational goals. Though my background began in technology, my passion has always been people. Working alongside the financial aid community has deepened my commitment to public service and my belief that education is the key to prosperity.
