SANTA FE — A community marketplace celebrating New Mexican culture and expanding Santa Fe’s evening entertainment options is set to debut this summer.
The 505 Night Market will launch on Friday, August 8, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Santa Fe Railyard Market. The event is free and open to all ages, featuring local food vendors, artists, and live music for a night destination centered on community culture.
The market was created by a team of Santa Fe residents who say they recognized a growing demand for more nighttime activities in the city. Their vision sees Santa Fe residents together in a recurring event is to create a recurring event that will uplift locally owned businesses, artists and musicians to cultivate “a shared sense of connection under the evening sky.” Visitors can expect a diverse selection of food from entrepreneurial vendors and artwork from local artists. The evening will also feature live performances by DJ Nokabah and DJ Ride, encouraging visitors to join in on “the dance party.”
The official launch follows a soft opening held on July 18 at The Kitchen Table, a commercial kitchen in Santa Fe. The event previewed the goal for August market, attracting attendees with diverse offerings of food, beverages, and artisan vendors. Among food options featured at the soft launch were modern French mousse cakes from Blossom & Glaze, a noodle bar from Green Chile Crisp and Potato Cat Bakery, and sweet and savory Asian-inspired cuisine from The Ox 1985. In total, the event showcased 23 food, beverage, and art vendors, giving attendees an early look at the local focus organizers hope to develop with their market.
The upcoming market on August 8 will be a community gathering at the Santa Fe Railyard, one of the city’s most popular public spaces. By combining local cuisine, art, and music in an evening setting, organizers hope the market becomes a regular destination where residents can discover new businesses and enjoy Santa Fe after hours.
