Meals on Wheels has been providing services to elderly people in three cities of the state; now they have expanded their services to two more cities, providing a service for those who need medically-tailored foods and access to healthcare.

Meals on Wheels is now offering their in-person meal delivery to Bernalillo and Placitas. They are currently giving nutritious meals, wellness checks, and social support to more seniors and homebound residents in Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, and Corrales.

Now that their services have reached Bernalillos and Placitas, it will help elderly people and individuals with medical conditions in northern Bernalillo County to gain more access to healthy meals and regular face-to-face visits.

In addition to delivering food, volunteers will conduct wellness checks and provide social interaction for homebound residents. The organization also serves people who require medically-tailored meals to help manage chronic health conditions.

In line with their expansion, they are now recruiting volunteers from Bernalillo and Placitas to help deliver meals and provide friendly wellness visits to local residents.
